At the exam session each candidate will fill out several forms as follows:
1. NCVEC Form 605 - On this form the candidate will provide name, mailing address, email address, FRN, etc.
2. CSCE (Certificate of Successful Completion of Exam) - This multipart form shows which exam elements have been earned and the licence the candidate is eligible for.
3. Answer sheet (One for each exam element taken) - Shows score as well as pass/fail, and verifies information on Form 605.

The candidate will receive a copy of the CSCE form after completed by examiners, all other paperwork is sent to the VEC for processing.

Once the VEC receives the paperwork, they will verify the information then send the information the the FCC.

The FCC will review the information sent by the VEC and generate an application for the candidate then send an email to the candidate an email informing them an application has been generated and providing a link or url where the candidate will go to pay their application fee.   This will be valid for ten days, after which the application will be cancelled necessitating the information be re-sent by the VEC.

If you do not receive an email from the FCC within two business days of completing your exam, the FCC may have the wrong email address.   You can check the status of your application as indicated on our Exam Main Page.

Once payment has been made, the FCC will send the candidate another email containing the licence information and the candidate will have a licence entry in the FCC database.
